Carolina newspapers on microfilm. These newspapers were some of the first newspapers published in colonial
America and are known to hold a wealth of information for Genealogy and History researchers. IMPORTANT NOTES: Since library holdings do change over time, you should first call or write the library you are interested in before travelling to said library, to make sure that the library still holds the early SC newspapers on microfilm. These holdings usually are cataloged under the title of Miscellaneous Early Newspapers - Charleston, SC., or under the newspaper title itself, such as the South Carolina Gazette.
